Title: Cheesy Bacon 'n Apple Muffins

2cSifted all-purpose flour
1/4cSugar
4tsBaking powder
3/4tsSalt
1cMilk
1/3cButter -- melted
1 Egg -- slightly beaten
1/2cFinely chopped unpeeled
  Apple
3/4c(3 oz.) shredded aged
  Cheddar cheese
2/3cCrisp bacon crumbled (about
8 Slices)

In large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In small bowl, combine milk, butter and egg; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apple, cheese and bacon crumbles. Spoon into buttered muffin cups, filling 2/3 full. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan. Cool on wire rack. Makes 18 muffins.
